Projekcija filma “Welcome” – Projection of the movie “Welcome”

(ENGLISH BELOW)

Povodom Dana pobede nad fašizmom i u okviru projekta “Balkan Steps II”, Volonterski centar Vojvodine i Omladinski centar CK13 vas pozivaju na projekciju filma “Welcome”, reditelja Filipa Lojreta.

Pre projekcije možete pogledati kratku prezentaciju studentskog bloga oktobar.net

On the occasion of the International Day of Victory over Fascism and within the framework of the “Balkan Steps II” project, Volunteers Centre of Vojvodina and CK 13 Youth Center are inviting you to the screening of the film “Welcome” directed by Philippe Lioret.

The story of a relationship between a french swimming trainer Simon and a kurdish young boy Bilal, which develops during his staying in the north of France in 2008, leads us to questions like: what have changed in the past 10 years? What are the borders of solidarity? What is necessary for one society to achieve understanding towards refugees and people in search for a better and safer life? How ready we are to give something to make their life easier, and what are the consequences that we will have to face?

32 km divide Bilal from his destination, the United Kingdom, one of the countries with the most restrictive measures about the reception of refugees and migrants.
After the projection, we will have the opportunity to talk about the current situation in Europe and Serbia and at our borders.

Before the screening there will be a short introduction of the oktobar.net students blog.
