Hor

Last week I started to go to a choir, because I already sang in one at home for nine years.

It takes place in the Gimnasium Jovanović Zmaj, but it is not their school choire but one with members from 15 to 70 years.

When I came for the first time, I was shy of course, but when I said my name to the conducter, she just said:" Rosa? A, znam, crna kuća!" I have no idea, how she could know, that I am working for CK, but somebody must have told her. Or as I experienced, everybody knows everybody in Novi Sad, and if not, than he definitely knows someone who knows him.

My conducter is a very special woman, I think. She has wild black curls, bright red lipstick and fingernails in the same colour. When the soprano sings, she accompanies on the piano very brutally(I can see the piano breaking into pieces!) and stamps the rhythem with her foot. Sometimes she also sings along, but at least one octave lower than the rest.

In the moment we are singing old Serbian churchsongs, which are printed in ćirilica but quickly "translated" into latinica by me, Bach and a Kanon by Händel, strange for me, but of course in Serbian language.

I am curious, when we will have our first concert, but I will definitely let you know
